So, where do you go for…
- Aged care
Personal care for the elderly aims to assist with day-to-day living. This may include self-care tasks such as bathing, dressing, toileting and medication reminders. Carers can assist with routine housekeeping including light cleaning, meal preparation, shopping and running of errands. Carers are there to assist with mobility and general well-being.
- Companion care
Companion care keeps the elderly and house bound active and involved by taking them on outings and/or keeping them company at home.
- Respite care
Respite care offers the opportunity for both the primary carer, and the person being cared for, to take a break. This may be for a few hours, a day, a night or a few weeks.
- Palliative care
Palliative care is about caring for people with a terminal illness as well as their families and friends. It aims to ease the pain, distress and many other physical, emotional and spiritual problems that are present with a terminal illness.
- Disability care
Disability care provides assistance to persons of all ages who have a limitation, restriction or impairment which restricts their everyday activities.
